She received her Bachelors of Science in Exercise Science and graduated in 2016. She then went on to receive her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Georgia State University in 2019 at the top of her class as a member of the physical therapy honor society.
Peyton was a lifelong competitive cheerleader until she graduated from high school in 2012. She was very involved in her high school competitive team as well as her all-star team. She enjoyed playing intramural sports while pursuing her degrees at Georgia State as well.
Peyton was very involved in her PT class. She participated in a service learning trip to the Dominican Republic in 2018 where she provided physical therapy services as well as community services for a small community. Peyton travelled around the southeast for her clinical rotations including time spent in Charleston, SC as well as Montgomery, AL. Peyton has experience in outpatient orthopedics, inpatient rehabilitation, acute care as well as neurological physical therapy.
Peyton worked diligently during her time in her doctoral program on developing research to further the physical therapy profession. She has multiple peer reviewed publications focusing on different aspects related to knee joint loading during gait post ACL repair and risk factors for ACL re-injury in pediatrics patients. She also has publications comparing the differences of ACL reconstruction patients and healthy individuals' postural stability and knee strength. She continues to apply this knowledge to her practice today in order to make use of the most current evidence and practices with her patients.
Peyton was welcomed to Peachtree Orthopedics in August 2019. She has received her certification in dry needling and is also LSVT BIG certified, a specialized program for patients with Parkinson's disease.
Peyton enjoys hanging out with friends in the city, working out, kick boxing and enjoys spending time with family.
