Jan Waldt, OTR/L
Jan joined our occupational therapy team in 2012. She attended Clemson University and the Medical University of South Carolina. Her work experience includes acute care, inpatient and outpatient therapy at Emory University Hospital and Center for Rehabilitation Medicine. She obtained her certification in neuro-development treatment (NDT) in adult hemiplegia. She also developed a brain injury rehabilitation course that she has presented to colleagues in the southeast.
Jan has specialized in hand and upper extremity rehabilitation for 17 years working around the Gwinnett area. She continues to use her expertise to rehabilitate athletes from youth, collegiate, and major league levels to return to play.
Jan served as an adjunct professor at the Medical College of Georgia’s occupational therapy program and she continues teaching in the clinical setting for OT interns. She has presented at varied continuing education courses and GOTA conferences. Jan is also a member of American Society of Hand Therapists and the Georgia UE Hand Specialist Group of Atlanta.
Outside of work, Jan enjoys traveling, spending time with her family and attending Clemson sporting events along with attending Atlanta Braves games.
