Peachtree Orthopedics' team of occupational therapists and certified hand therapists provide excellent, specialized care in the rehabilitation of the upper limb, including the hand, wrist, elbow and shoulder girdle.
Our staff of experienced occupational therapists and certified hand therapists (CHTs) work with you to prevent impairment, reverse progression of pathology, and restore functional ability in all aspects of daily living. Our certified hand therapists specialize in hand and upper extremity orthopedics, and emphasize return of normal function after a variety of non-surgical injuries, and after trauma or surgery. Interventions include fabrication of upper extremity splints and orthoses to protect an injury or mobilize a stiff joint, prescription of therapeutic exercise, physical agent modalities, activity modification and instruction on home exercise programs and ergonomics.
The members of our hand therapy team are experienced in getting you back to the activities you want to do – whether that is playing tennis or golf, holding a child, returning to work, driving a car or using your hand in your everyday tasks without pain. We will develop an individual, progressive treatment plan with you and the members of your medical team to help you achieve your goals.
