COVID-19: Information & Updates

The physicians at Peachtree Orthopedics continue to closely monitor the COVID-19 outbreak via the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), the Georgia Department of Public Health, and the World Health Organization. The protocols are evolving, and we are working hard to mitigate any impact on our patients, community, staff and providers.


Your Safety = Our Priority

Your well-being is at the forefront of everything we do, so please know that when you visit any of our offices, strict safety protocols are in place.

From curbside check-in to patient and staff screenings, we're doing everything we can to keep you safe while providing expert, compassionate care. Steps we're taking include:

  • Curbside check-in: Call upon arrival, remain in car, wait on staff until exam time.
  • Patient screening: Questions asked, temperature taken, must use hand sanitizer.
  • Masks: All patients/visitors are asked to wear masks; staff are wearing them as well.
  • Extra sanitizing is taking place during and between appointments; exam rooms and public areas cleaned between patients.
  • Medication and medical equipment delivered curbside.
  • Strict visitor limitations. Guests accompanying patients are not permitted in the office unless: the patient is a minor, the patient needs an interpreter, or the patient requires assistance. Those allowed will also be screened.

We ask all patients and their guests who have had a fever in the last 24 hours, have a cough or shortness of breath, or have been exposed to someone suspected to have, or with a confirmed case of COVID-19, reschedule their appointments from in-office to telemedicine. Please understand that if you arrive for your appointment and are requested to reschedule, this is being done in the best interest of our patients, staff, and the general public.

If you are at all concerned that you may have been exposed to or are infected with COVID-19 or any other infectious disease, your best course of action is to seek guidance from your primary care physician.


Visits for patients 65+ and those with serious health conditions

We now recommended that patients over 65 and those with serious health conditions seeking care for long term, chronic musculoskeletal issues, or who are coming to the office for routine follow up be seen by their provider via a telemedicine visit. These conditions include:

  • Chronic respiratory disease (i.e. COPD, emphysema, moderate to severe asthma)
  • Cardiovascular disease (i.e. heart failure, coronary artery disease)
  • Any uncontrolled health condition (i.e. high blood pressure, diabetes, kidney failure requiring dialysis)
  • Cancer
  • Any condition that leads to immune compromised status (use of steroids/immune suppressing drugs for autoimmune diseases, HIV, history of organ transplant, morbid obesity)

Our telemedicine visits provide flexibility for you to utilize a smart phone or tablet to complete a face-to-face encounter with a provider, and our team is happy to help you get set up on the device of your choice. More details are below.

Urgent Ortho Visits
