Professional Training

Dr. York is an Atlanta native who attended The Westminster Schools and graduated with honors from the University of the South in Sewanee, Tennessee. As an undergraduate, he studied in Oxford, England and later studied arthritis and joint diseases at Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge. After attending the Medical College of Georgia, he completed a one year surgical internship and a five year orthopedic residency at Emory University.

Dr. York also specialized in sports medicine and arthroscopic surgery during a one year fellowship with Frank Noyes, MD., at the Cincinnati Sports Medicine and Orthopedic Center. During this time, he focused on the care of professional, collegiate, high school, and recreational athletes with sports injuries.
