Our very own Dr. Timothy Griffith has done it again with another comprehensive study on revision UCL reconstruction (or “Tommy John” surgery)!
Dr. Griffith, who is a team physician for the Atlanta Braves, was one of the authors of this study – the largest known series on revision UCL reconstruction in professional baseball. The study was published in The Orthopaedic Journal of Sports Medicine and focused on 69 professional baseball players who underwent revision “Tommy John” surgery from 2010 to 2016 after having a previous “Tommy John” procedure. This publication is just one of several studies that are part of Dr. Griffith’s MLB research, and more studies will be released in the coming months.
