EDUCATION & TRAINING
Dr. Neil S. Tarabadkar was raised in Macon, GA, where he attended Stratford Academy. He received his undergraduate education from Bates College in Lewiston, Maine, with a bachelor’s degree in medical anthropology. He earned his medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia, where he was a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society. He completed his orthopedic surgery training at the University of Washington in Seattle, which has been ranked by US News and World Report as one of the top orthopedic residency programs in the United States.
Dr. Tarabadkar completed a prestigious hand and microvascular surgery fellowship at the nationally renowned Washington University/Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, which is widely regarded as one of the best orthopedic hospitals in the United States. His training there included tackling complex surgery of the hand and elbow such as wrist replacement, wrist and hand arthritis, wrist instability, upper extremity trauma/fractures, reconstructive surgery, sports medicine, fracture care, and arthroscopic surgery.
Dr. Tarabadkar is dedicated to helping patients return to their lifestyle and activities, with the philosophy of always seeking non-operative treatment first, and reserving surgery as the final option when conservative treatment has failed.
