John Henry, M.D., is a native Atlantan who joined Peachtree Orthopedics in 1998. He is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery.

BIO

EDUCATION & TRAINING

Dr. Henry earned his B.S. from Emory University in Atlanta in 1982, and his M.D. from Emory University School of Medicine in 1986. He completed his orthopedic residency in 1991 where he served as administrative chief resident. He then completed a prestigious adult reconstruction/total joint replacement fellowship at Harvard Medical School, Brigham & Women’s Hospital in 1992. After extensive fellowship training he was recruited by his residency training program department chairman and practiced orthopedic surgery/total joint replacement surgery at the Emory Clinic from 1992-1998. He served as clinical assistant professor of orthopedic surgery at the Emory University School of Medicine.

Dr. Henry scored in the top 6% on his specialty specific (total joint replacement surgery) board recertification exam. He has served as clinical instructor in the department of orthopedic surgery at Harvard Medical School and was chief of orthopedic surgery at the Atlanta Veteran’s Administration Medical Center. Dr. Henry has served as medical director for the Georgia Orthopaedic Research and Education Foundation and has served as a question writer for the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery.
